Who
Saskatoon Pets in the Park Inc. is a united initiative of New Hope Dog Rescue, the Saskatoon SPCA, SCAT Street Cat Rescue Program and some very dedicated animal lovers from the Saskatoon community.

What
It is a Sunday, held annually in July, where permission is given by City Council to allow pets on leash to accompany their human families in one of Saskatoon’s most picturesque parks. Activities are held to raise awareness and funds for local animal welfare organizations. Happenings include trade booths, food concessions, silent auction, dog agility and/or flyball, and police dog demonstrations, the SPCA’s walkathon and entertainment provided by local musicians. It’s a great opportunity for pets to socialize with other pets as well as for pet parents to show off their furry children, all the while benefiting the animals in need.

Kiwanis Memorial Park on Spadina Crescent in Downtown Saskatoon, across from the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel and north of the Delta Bessborough Hotel.

New Hope would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the three school groups who have donated money to New Hope in the recent past.  Both the Grade 5/6 (French) class at Victoria School, and the Student Leadership Corps at Henry Kelsey did “New To You” sales.  The Sutherland School Zoo Club made a donation to New Hope after receiving a presentation which included a visit from our New Hope Dog Chelsea.

It was so nice to see these students showing such concern for our rescue dogs.
