Success Story – Coulter

We became a foster family in August of 2004. Our first foster dog was Coulter from Estevan. We then fostered another dog during this time by the name of Weiser. It was a lot of work! Weiser was moved to another foster home and Coulter remained. Coulter began to grow on us despite the fact he was a runner we affectionately called him “Coulter the Bolter”. His happy go lucky attitude, his warm and friendly greeting when you came in the door just an all around wonderful dog! Finally after about five months of fostering someone was interested in coming to meet him and possibly adopt him. Panic set in around the house, the kids cried, my husband panicked, we adopted Coulter. He continues to be a source of constant joy and laughter in our house and has made us very happy. He is not the type of dog for agility or any dog sports really. He is just content playing with his human family, his dog family, going on a bike ride, walk or run. He still likes to “Bolt” when he can but he is only gone about 20 minutes instead of two hours. Scarlett and Coulter live with three other dogs and one cat. It is a busy, dog loving household and without New Hope we would have never had this opportunity!
