Success Story – Dakoda

I adopted Dakoda (formerly known as “Snoopy”), a 1 yr old Husky/Border Collie, back in Aug/07. I just thought I’d let you all know that he’s doing just great! We had a few issues with the escape artist in him and his not-so-good recall (he goes deaf when he catches sight of a herd of antelope!! Long story!), but we’ve adjusted and he’s fitting into our family really well….we can’t imagine life without him now! He even gets along beautifully with our 3 cats!
You were right – he travels so great in the car! He just curls up on the backseat and sleeps until we arrive at our destination! Almost every weekend, we take him out to my parent’s acreage, and he has fun playing with their dog and enjoys the country side! He even gets along great with our horses. He has such a friendly nature, that he gets along with everyone he meets!
Koda has touched our lives in so many ways, we’re actually considering getting another dog sometime in the near future! Koda absolutely loves other dogs, and I know he’d love having someone to share his huge backyard with.
