Hi New Hope!

I just wanted to send you a quick note to update you on Devi. We drove out from Winnipeg to adopt her in June. I can’t tell you how much she is loved, and how well she is doing! She is a smart, happy, loving, friendly girl who wins the hearts of everyone she meets. She enthusiastically plays frisbee every day, sometimes even twice a day, and yes, even in the dark with her lighted frisbee. We completed the first level of obedience training with her, and she passed with flying colours and our trainer has encouraged us to join Disc Dogs with her. We’re pretty sure she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, she just wants to play with every creature she meets, even the backyard bunnis. She loves other dogs, cats, kids, people…and she makes us laugh every day. We don’t really need an alarm clock anymore as she is sure to wake us with little kisses, and ear snuffles in the morning.

I have attached a picture of her when she first came home with us, and a picture of her after she shed out her fluffy coat. She looked like a different dog, but I’m sure was much happier to have the light coat for the summer months. We got so many questions about what kind of dog she is that we got her DNA done. Although we were pretty sure she had Border Collie in her, we could only guess what else she was and were shocked to discover that she was actually mostly Rottweiler, plus she has a little Mastiff in there too! With her diminutive size we would never have guessed two such large breed dogs.

We have never had such a loving, sweet dog, and want to thank you for all that you do every day to save the lives of so many dogs.

Wishing you a Happy Holiday Season!

Leslie, John & Devi Pura, from Winnipeg

Just to let you know that we have had Mya, once known as Spring to you, since June & she has come full circle and is now the dog she is supposed to & deserves to be. Every one who knows her, loves her & she loves them right back. Wasn’t to sure how the visit with Santa would go, but like always, she was a little trooper and made us proud. She has been a very, very good girl and I’m sure Santa will spoil her this Christmas.
Thanks for all you do & have a Merry Christmas and all the Best for 2012!!!!

Michelle, George, Mya & of course her little bro, Reggie
