COVID-19-Please help ensure we can continue our mission

At NHDR we continue to monitor and adjust to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.

As of right now, NHDR is maintaining our intake of dogs in need. Adoptions will continue from foster care at this time to make room for new intakes. Additional precautions have been put into effect to ensure the safety of our volunteers, coordinators, foster homes and potential adopters. This may change as the crisis evolves. We are continuing to recruit and screen new foster homes to assist in caring for dogs in need.

We are, as always, extremely grateful for the efforts of our volunteers, foster homes and our coordinators who continue to care for the dogs and maintain operations at NHDR.

Dog homelessness does not end when we are facing a human crisis, we must all work together to continue our mission.

We have cancelled or postponed all of our adoption events, fundraisers, etc. We are also taking steps to reduce costs wherever possible. If you can, please consider a donation today so that we can ensure we can continue to take in dogs in need, or sign up as a monthly donor for as little as $5/month. Without your support during this, we simply cannot care for dogs in need.

We recognize that we may all be looking at economic challenges in the upcoming weeks, and are grateful for your continued support. As we navigate through this challenge please be kind to yourself and each other. Working together, we can and will get through this crisis and be stronger for it.

Thank you all for your support during this time.
