New Hope Dog Rescue’s 12th Annual Mutt Strut

Virtual Event!

Due to COVID-19 we are changing the way we do this year’s Mutt Strut; It is important for everyone to do all we can to protect our community and we believe that this is the responsible choice for us.

The health and safety of our participants, volunteers, sponsors, and the public at large is always our highest priority.

The good news is, your virtual run/walk can be completed anytime, anywhere, even on a treadmill, starting April 1st!

We ask that anyone registering and fundraising as a team, to please use good judgment and obey social distancing guidelines

With your support and participation, we can all still have fun, and raise money for dogs in need!

Raise funds to support the dogs!

Register before May 1st to confirm your t-shirt! 
You can fundraise up until the day of the event but please ensure your pledges are in by May 31st to ensure you’re eligible for prizes!

 

**Top individual earner (adult) gets a prize-must raise at least $500**  

 **Top individual earner (youth) gets a prize-must raise at least $250**  

**Top Fundraising Team (max. 4 people per team) gets 4 $50 Brainsport Gift Cards--must raise at least $1000

Thinking of participating in the Mutt Strut virtually this year? See below for helpful information regarding the virtual option and what to expect if you select the virtual experience.

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL EVENT?

A virtual event allows participants to complete the race on their own. You will run or walk the race distance at your own pace and at a time and location of your choosing. You choose your own race day and your own starting line, whether it’s a treadmill, a park or your neighborhood street.

DO I HAVE TO RUN MY VIRTUAL EVENT ON MAY 24TH?

No, you choose your planned race date.  This can be as early as April 1st through May 24th, 2020.

WILL IT BE A SET COURSE OR ONE WE CAN MAKE UP?

Participants will be choosing their own route for the virtual event. It would be unsafe (particularly in these social distancing days) for us to provide a route that all could use at any specific time.

Please share your “finish line” photos on social media using the hashtag #MuttStrutyxe so we can see your pics!

WHAT PARTICIPANT AMENITIES WILL I RECEIVE FOR THE VIRTUAL EVENT?

You will receive a shirt for the event you completed virtually (if you register before May 1st), and there will be prizes for the top pledge earners. We will attempt to have in-person pickup for local residents to pick up these items when it’s safe to do so.
