Golden

Golden

On December 20th a front line rescuer reached out that this young girl had been attacked by other dogs and the owner wasn’t able to care for her. A very injured and scared girl started her journey with New Hope at the Small Animal Clinic at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. There it was determined that she had sustained bite wounds all over her body, including her left ear, and had severe bruising on her right elbow. She was sent to her foster home that night to rest and heal.

December 23rd Golden was seen by the team at Orchard Veterinary Care, they were able to further clean the wounds and advise on the best way to care for the healing ear.

December 27th Golden was seen for another follow up and is progressing well on her healing journey. She has lost part of her ear due to the damage done but she’s a happy girl. Her foster home is also happy to say that she is starting to settle in nicely now that she is no longer in a lot of pain.

Update: Golden has found her forever home.

Please consider making a donation to our Guardians of Hope program where your donations continue to help dogs like Golden. 100 percent of all donations towards this fund goes directly to the animal’s medical expenses for major medical care.
