Gus

Gus arrived into New Hope in May of 2021. His foster noticed he walked awkward on his hind end. X-rays were done and it was discovered he has severe hip dysplasia in both hind legs.

Gus is being scheduled to have a Femoral Head Osteotomy (FHO) on his leg that is bothering him the most and once he is healed from the first surgery, he will have a FHO on his other leg.

Update: Gus had his first FHO surgery on July 16. He is recovered in his loving foster home. His next FHO surgery is scheduled for September 17.

Please consider donating to our Guardians of Hope fund. 100 percent of all funds donated to this fund goes directly towards dog’s emergency vet costs for dogs like Gus.

Update: October 29, 2021 Gus has found his loving forever home.
