Lacey

Lacey

Lacey joined New Hope in September of 2018. Shortly after coming in, we knew something wasn’t right. In the beginning she was treated for a urinary tract infection. But even after that cleared up, she still wasn’t feeling well. She was seen several times including x-rays and quite a few blood tests were run. Although she didn’t appear to be sick, her blood tests were always telling a different story.

In late November it was discovered that Lacey was positive for a tick borne disease called Ehrlichia and she is in a chronic stage of infection. She immediately was started on antibiotics and we will repeat her blood work in early January 2019 to see if she if the antibiotics help.

If you would like to donate to New Hope for Lacey’s care, please consider donating to our Guardian of Hope fund. This fund goes directly toward Lacey’s care and other dogs that go through this program.
