Lee

Lee is a stunning German shepherd X approximately 2 years of age that came to New Hope from a pound. Lee was limping and unable to put any weight on her right hind leg. After seeing one of our partner veterinarians it was discovered that Lee had old fractures that had partially healed. Unfortunately the injury was so severe that there was no way to repair the leg. Because of the poor prognosis for a usable leg, even with surgery, and the fact that Lee was in constant pain, the decision was mad to amputate her leg.

Lee is an amazing, resiliant dog who recovered well from surgery. She gets around easily and is such a happy girl!

Update:  Lee has gone to her new home and enjoying every minute of it!
