Penny

Penny

Penny arrived into New Hope on November 3, 2020, as a transfer from another agency, with a severe skin condition. She was seen by a partner veterinarian and was diagnosed with a very bad case of Demodex. She is full of scabs, her fur is falling out and she is extremely itchy.

She has been was started on medication and we are hoping she gets some relief soon. With some medical treatment and good nutrition, she should make a full recovery.

Demodex is a mite that burrows into the skin that often times affects malnourished animals with poor immune systems.

Update: Penny was cleared for adoption and found her loving forever home February 25, 2021.
