Stu

Let us introduce Stu. This sweet and loving 9 year old boy was brought to our attention through Canine Action Project on January 28th after being hit and dragged by a car on the 27th. He was seen by the caring team at Melfort’s Mohawk Animal Clinic before coming to his foster home in Saskatoon. Once in Saskatoon he was seen by the team at Orchard Vet Care. After more x-rays they found that his right elbow was fully dislocated and a plan was made to reduce the elbow into place. Unfortunately, the supporting ligaments around that elbow are damaged so his leg is in a splint for the week in hopes that he will build up scar tissue to support the elbow to avoid a surgery. He has a follow up scheduled on the 6th. In the meantime he is learning that being inside isn’t all that terrible thanks to the love and patience of his foster home.

Update: February 17th We had to let our sweet old man go. It wasn’t the outcome we expected when we picked him up just 3 weeks ago. Run free sweet Stu, he knew love and kindness until the end.

Please consider making a donation to our Guardians of Hope program where your donations continue to help dogs like Stu. 100 percent of all donations towards this fund goes directly to the animal’s medical expenses for major medical care.
