Suzy

Suzy

Suzy, a 2-3 year old Shepherd X, came to New Hope from the Canine Action Project (she was a stray in a northern community). Shortly after her arrival it was noticed that Suzy was sore on her right front leg after exercise. The vet found that she had some swelling of her right elbow.  It was discovered that Suzy had an old fracture near her right elbow that limited her range of motion. She was seen by a specialistat the Veterinary Medical Centre and because the injury was old there was no treatment or surgery that can be done. Suzy will always have a slight limp but it does not affect her quality of life. Low impact exercise and glucosamine and Omega-3 fatty acid supplements will also help her! It did not take lovely Suzy to find a home of her own!

Any and all donations are greatly appreciated in continuing the care of our Guardians of Hope!
