Thor

Thor

Thor arrived in New Hope’s care on March 17, 2022. He has had an injury to his right hind leg that likely requires surgical intervention. Thor was picked up by a volunteer and transported directly to WCVM where he will be met by a surgeon to determine the best course of action to ensure he has a long and wonderful life.

Update: Thor was released from the WCVM on March 19th into his loving foster home after a successful surgery to address a distal femur fracture on his left hind leg. He has 6 weeks of healing ahead of him with his foster home working to ensure his muscles stay supple doing passive range of motion exercises. As he heals, Thor will require follow up appointments with a partner vet to ensure he remains on track.

Update: Thor has a clean bill of health and has happily moved into his forever home where he is a treasured companion already.

Please consider making a donation to our Guardians of Hope program where your donations continue to help dogs like Thor. 100 percent of all donations towards this fund goes directly to the animal’s medical expenses for major medical care.
