Merle

Merle

New Hope was contacted by a front line rescuer that came across Merle. Merle was quite lethargic and appeared to have an injury to his front right paw. They received permission from the chief and a couple of the council members to help Merle.

Merle was was taken directly to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He was diagnosed with parvovirus and spent 5 days getting treatment before he was discharged. He will spend 30 days with a foster home while he is recovering and shedding the virus so he doesn’t spread the highly contagious disease. We hope to find him an amazing forever home once he is ready for adoption.

If you would like to donate towards Merle’s medical expenses, please consider donating to our Guardian of Hope fund. This fund goes directly towards Merle’s medical costs and other dogs that join New Hope Dog Rescue’s foster care program that have additional medical care needed during their stay with us.
