Volunteers fuel our mission! New Hope Dog Rescue is always on the lookout for volunteers who can help us make a difference in the lives of rescue dogs and our community. Listed below are the volunteer opportunities we currently have available.
Volunteer Foster Home Approval Team Member (Saskatoon, SK)
New Hope Dog Rescue is a registered non-profit and foster-based organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing dogs in need since 2003. Every dog in the program receives proper medical care and is matched with loving foster families until they find permanent homes. With the support of the community, New Hope has successfully found homes for over 2680 dogs.
Role Description
In this role you would be a part of a team that:
- Acts as the point of contact for potential new fosters
- Conducts initial screening interview with potential fosters
- Completes home visits with potential fosters
- Answers any questions that could arise
- Provides information about fostering, New Hope Dog Rescue, and our policies/procedures
Volunteer Community Visit Team Member (Saskatoon, SK)
New Hope Dog Rescue is a registered non-profit and foster-based organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing dogs in need since 2003. With the support of the community, New Hope has successfully found homes for over 2680 dogs.
Role Description
In this role you would be a part of a team that:
- Accompany foster dogs/puppies to various seniors homes and assisted living facilities around Saskatoon (If you're able to transport a dog to the visit and back to their foster home after that is very helpful, but not mandatory if it's not something you're able to do.)
- Help foster dogs/puppies interact with community members while at the visit
- Take care of the dogs/puppies during the visit, including clean up if they go potty
Volunteer Graphic Designer (Remote in Canada)
New Hope Dog Rescue is looking for a creative individual to fulfill a volunteer graphic designer position.
Qualifications:
- At least 6 months of experience in graphic design
- Typography skills
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and meet deadlines
- A passion for animal welfare and rescue
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as fluent in Canadian English
The chosen candidate must be able to volunteer on a weekly basis for at least a year. Candidate must have regular access to a private computer.
