Volunteer Process & FAQs

Thank you for considering volunteering for New Hope Dog Rescue. We’re truly a team here, and we depend on the dedication of our many volunteers to carry out our mission. There are so many opportunities within our organization, like:

  • Home visits and finalizing adoptions

  • Transport for dogs coming into our rescue

  • Being a dog handler or working at events

  • Fundraising

  • Fostering a dog (or two)

  • Picking up and dropping off donations

  • Photography, graphic design, and social media

How much time do I need to commit to volunteering?

Any amount of time you can donate to volunteering is greatly appreciated. We can always find you the volunteer task/role that will work with your schedule and availability.

Where do I volunteer?

New Hope Dog Rescue is a remote-based organization, so we are truly a network of volunteers. Depending on the task/role you volunteer for, you can volunteer from home (a great deal of our work is done online or at home as a foster parent) or at events and fundraisers throughout Saskatoon and area.

What are the requirements to volunteer?

Volunteers must be 16 years or older to volunteer on their own with us. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Depending on the volunteer role, there may be additional requirements.

If you’re interested in joining our team, all it takes to begin is an application, and our volunteer coordinator will be in touch with you soon. If there are other ways you believe you can help our organization, please feel free to contact us.
