Leo

Leo came into New Hope when a front line rescuer found him clinging on to life, he was about half the size of his litter mates. He was immediately brought into Saskatoon and taken to the Western College of Veterinarian Medicine (WCVM) for treatment. He was treated for dehydration and was released the next day.

Two days later, Leo went back to the emergency service department at the WCVM after having a few seizures. Although no specific cause for the seizures was identified, they determined it was possible low blood glucose could have triggered the episodes or a severe parasitic burden. He has not had another seizure since that day and was cleared medically to go up for adoption just over a month after he came into our foster care program.
